HISTORY OF BOMPAR

This company has begun its activity in June, 1993.

On teh basis of a commercial and industruial experinece, one of its founder in the industrial pump’s line of business, and which has become his main activity since 1993, fostered the new company’s establishment in Paraguay.

At first, Bompar mainly worked in marketing and service of industrial pumps. Almost immediately after, because of the market’s requirements, the company had to re-define its offer and make it wider. Consequently, Bompar is nowadays aimed at all fluids’ flow and measure; liquid fluids such as water, fuels, etc., and gaseous fluids such as the air, liquified propane gas, CO² and ammonium, among others.

This condition has let the company participate in important projects within the region, specially in those projects related to oil and fuel flow, such as: SHELL GAS S.R.L. plant in 1995 – Paraguay; a new loading terminal of PETROLEOS PARAGUAYOS (PETROPAR) in 1996 – Paraguay; a new loading terminal of TERMINALES PARAGUAYAS S.R.L. (from SHELL companies’ group) in 1997 – Paraguay; a new LPG plant of PETROGAZ (from SHELL companies’ group) in 1998 – Salvador, Bahia – Brazil. Recently in 2004, finished the remodelation of the Airport terminal in Asunción of PARAGUAY SHELL AVIATION; and a pure water instalation for the Municipality of Nueva Londres – Paraguay, prject financed by the paraguayan Bristish Embassy and the Government of Canada.

Loading and unloading terminals is one of company’s speciality. The products range that take part in a terminal such as different applications’s pump, flowmeters, predetermination elementes, tank level gauges, additive systems, loading arms, intelligent power stations and other elements, caused that Bompar become an agent from different supply companies. Likewise, there is an obligatory training to engineers and technicians abroad in order to offer a proper technical service in any stage of a project.

The continuos increasing in use of LPG, for the population as well as for the industry as fuel for cars allowed the introduction of new technologies for the movement of this difficult and dangerous product.

Possitive displacement and centrifugal pumps designed sepcially for LPG, of different sizes flows and pressures, now are regulary supplied by Bompar to the market as well as different type of compressors.

Bompar supplied to PETRPOAR a sophisticated SUNDSTRAND centrifugal LPG compressor of 250m³/hs Oto unload LPG barges and to fill three spheres of 2000m³ each one.

Very good results for the service stations customers are bringing the LPG dispensers and pumps supplied.

Actuallythe company’s main activity, although continuing with the other, is the construction of LPG and fuel dispensers, LPG Cylinders forecourt filling machines and combined multipurpose machines LPG Cylinders filling machiens plus LPG dispensers in the same spacial frames.

Sanitary Pumps in the Nutritious Industry.

The dairy-milk production, the beverages industry and in general tha agriculture-industry, they have been the object of a special attention, in this sense the Bompar’s sales division directs its attention toward signatures leaders in the market, as well as toward the smallets producer, with sanitary pumping systems of international fame.

The supplying of our products for the movement of milk and their derived, of the beverages, of the packed fruits, dissected vegetables, chocolate and other products have become a daily and permanent work for the company.

Meters for Fuels and Liquid Propane Gas (LPG)

The large investments for the distribution of fuels and LPG carried out starting from 1995 in the country allowed that the supply of the first line teams of meters with the technical service for the users became stablishes in Paraguay.

It is necessary to highlight that metering and preset systems are controlled in their majority by sophisticated, although simple electronic systems; some of them still more advanced are commanded by radar systems.

Centrifugal Pumps for Water and Fuels.

On the base of the wide program of production of centrifugal pumps that Bompar distributes some guides was taken.

-Maintenance of a permanent stock of industrial pumps.

-Import on order of those pumps of more behavior and special. The assembly on its base with the incorporation of the motors is carried out in the own shops.

-They are carried out the operation tests in a certified bank of tests.

A process of complete assembly of pumps has began with the incorporation of elements of own production. This politics goes toward the export, specially to the area of MERCOSUR.

The products that have been object of modifications in the shops of Bompar, certifies their quality with the norms ISO 9001.

Fire Fight Systems

Actually not only the large industrial facilities are using fire fight systems, the market had been enlarged in important form to most of the engineering projects and also to small stablishments.

Bompar stands out in the supplying of teams and complete systems, on the base of the cooperation of the signatures that represents.

When providing teams of big flows (more than 400m³/h) on the base of split case centrifugal pumps, of great robustness and effectiveness, as well as the pressurization systems with pumps of multiple stages and their boards of electronic controls with remote control, Bompar has put a great distances with regard to the suppliers of teams offered up to now, as teams of fight fire systems, those that cannot provide the necessary force to a fight against the fire just when it is needed.

Centrifugal Pumps in Loading-unloading Fuel Terminals.

The introduction in Paraguay of centifugal pumps of API 610,7ª and 8ª edition type, it is an important step to improve the technology of precesses and distribution. This type of pumps is manufactured according to the most rigorous standards of security (settled down the American Petroleum Institute –API), among other the pumps support system ‘center line’ safe against vibrations, easy interchangeability and disassembly without affecting the facilities, shafts and cases of great robustness built with special materials, bearings system of balls and rollers, lubricated special mechanical seals. Mounted on specially designed bese-plates and also of API type.

It suits to highlight that it is for the first time in Paraguay that a paraguayan signature, Bompar that when participating in competitions of prices and in international bids it has been able to obtain in the same ones the suplying of dozens of API pumps. This could happen on the base that it has a local specialized service, with technicians and engineers formed in the stablishment of the pumps suppliers, able to interpret the demands of the costumers’ engineering and theiur necessities of interventions in service.

Loading Arms for Fuels and Liquified Gas (LPG)

More than a hundred of these API loading systems has been installed and they work with succes in Paraguay, supplied by Bompar.

To those already well-known loading arms for trucks “tor loading” type have been added “bottom loading” systems with more load speed (2.200 lts/min) connected with electronic gauges against tanks overfilling.

These complete systems allow that those terminals “load islands” of fuels can arrive to a very superior grade of automation, speed, of load security and control of the enviroment.

Dosing Pumps for Water Treatments.

Bompar distributes the whole range of diaphragm pumps piston, mixers and such control accesories that allows to design and to provide the teams for complete plants of treatment for drinkable water, as well as for served water and for boilers.

From the simplest domicialiry pumps use to other more complex ones that admit electronic distance commands with the possibility of incorporating them special PH controllers, conductimeters, sign convertors, amplifiers and other. Specially prepared to drive varied products, such as chlorine, aluminum sulfate, sulfuric acic, etc.
